The Carmel Connection Foundation (CCF) proudly offers a suite of Permanent Scholarship Opportunities designed to support students at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMCS) in Asbury Park, NJ. These scholarships close the tuition gap for families in need while allowing donors to create a lasting impact in ways that are personally or professionally meaningful.

Each scholarship provides a permanent $2,500 annual award, following a student through graduation before being reassigned to another eligible child. Donors can choose from three meaningful options:

1. Permanent Memorial Scholarships

Honor a loved one’s legacy through an enduring educational gift.

  • Ideal for those wishing to memorialize a deceased family member or friend

  • Scholarships may be named (e.g., The Michelle Carragher Memorial Scholarship)

  • Recipients receive a biography of the honoree and remember them in their prayers

  • Honorees are included in daily school prayers and remembered at an Annual Mass

2. Permanent Dedicated Scholarships

Celebrate someone special—a parent, mentor, or friend—through a named scholarship.

  • Scholarships may be established in honor of a living individual

  • Named recognition and biography are shared with the student recipient

  • Honorees are recognized at school events and included in daily prayers

3. Permanent Business Scholarships

Promote your business while giving back to the community.

  • Scholarships may be named after your business or organization

  • Provides ongoing brand visibility and goodwill among OLMCS families and stakeholders

  • Business sponsors are acknowledged at school events and published materials

Scholarship Funding Options

Each scholarship may be initiated with:

  • A one-time $25,000 donation, or

  • A multi-year pledge (up to 5 years)

These scholarships are jointly funded—the donor initiates the award, while the CCF Endowment Fund ensures its permanence.

Student Selection Criteria

Donors may set specific criteria or defer selection to OLMCS administration. Suggested priorities include:

·       Incoming kindergarteners from the neediest families (preferred)

·       Students who demonstrate excellence in academics, arts, or athletics

·       Students in specific grade ranges (e.g., lower or middle school)

·       Gender-specific awards (boys only or girls only)
